How to clench your jaw, grind your teeth and make loud sounds?

by Christian Goodman

What relation does the neck or tongue have with tooth grinding, jaw clenching or even snoring? Why am I recommending throat exercise for TMJ and for snoring the jaw exercises?

It really doesn’t make any sense, isn’t it ?

Wouldn’t you focus entirely on the back if you had backache? Or the head if you had headache? And of course for high blood pressure, all you want to do is lower your blood pressure, right?

I think that the traditional health system is been ruined by this type of approach.

No muscle is an island, neither is a nerve, bone or a limp. Every cell in our body is connected to every other cell in our body. After all, every single cell (millions of them) in our body has the exact same DNA structure, but NO cell outside our body has that exact DNA structure.

Isn’t that amazing? (maybe I’m getting a little head of myself).

Lastly, our body does works in equilibrium. I took my 8 years old daughter today to see the chiropractor. He told me that one of her legs appears to be a little short than the other. When he adjusted it, both of her leg were in equilibrium. So there is no problem at all.

…because we treated it in time!

He said it often happens in every kids games. She probably didn’t notice anything or years. But she was not carrying her body in the right fashion. She would have started to put on wrong weights on to a wrong muscle and bones.

Maybe after attaining the age of 30, 40 or 50 years - she might start to experience knee, back, hip or even neck problems, headaches and even TMJ.

It is rather very likely that something similar might have been occurred to you when you were a kid. It actually happens to most of us. Even the very small issues tends to set our body out of balance. It might not be big might be not noticeable. But slowly and steadily we do add on to it.

And one day, the pressure is too much and something gives in.

We generally do not fall sick out of the blue, unless there we face an accident. There is something that kept on brewing below. Maybe for years.

So that brings me back to my original question…

“Why do I recommend exercising muscles that have nothing to do with the problem area?”

Taking TMJ for example. TMJ is a condition where the jaw joints are dislocated or are not in position which causes tension in the jaw muscles. This results in to a horrible headache, drowsiness, blurry vision, inability to eat or talk and many other hundred of symptoms. TMJ cases are usually not the same.

But the solution to the problem is always the same…

I do recommend the special Jaw, Tongue ,Throat and Neck exercises.

Now it’s quite obvious to answer as to why do I always recommend the jaw exercises. By strengthening and loosening up the jaws muscles, these muscles often guides the jaw into its healthy natural position.

But why I also recommend throat exercises?

As the muscles present around the throat are directly connected to the jaw muscles. It is same in the case of the tongue muscle and of course the neck muscles. So, if you do not start to strengthen these muscles, then their tension will always pull the jaw muscles and try to avoid it from becoming healthy muscles.

The exercise for TMJ is the same as in my stop snoring program. The reason for the same type of exercise for different conditions is that as it occurs in the same area. So, it is important to loosen up the throat muscles in order to make the jaw muscles functional and it is also very important to loosen the jaw muscles in order to make the throat muscles functional and open the throat which leads to cure snoring.

I take this as an example. I always focus on the body as a whole, no matter what condition I’m dealing with. To cure migraine you must train yourself to breath deeply. You must also make sure the muscles controlling your breathing are strong and flexible.

You should always aim big.

As each and every person does affect one another, next to each other, every cell, muscle, bone and nerve affects the object next to it. As long as they are having the same DNA structure (belongs to you), you should look after them.
