Acne Prone Skin: The Bane Of Many Beauties Existence

Acne problems beating your skin into submission? Wondering if a change in your diet could actually improve your acne prone skin? Well, it certainly makes sense. A healthier diet could result in healthier and clearer skin. Have you tried any of of the many creams, potions, gels and such all crowding today’s health and beauty market. It really is quite simple, food can work both for and against you. Yes, food can actually help you with fierce fight against acne.

There are many that believe that the way in which you cook your food can actually work against you if you are trying to clear your skin. Some think that using the microwave to zap your food can actually cause it to release more toxins and thereby adding those toxins to your body and ultimately to your skin. Where do the toxins go? Well, they erupt as acne breakouts. The more you microwave, the more toxins you collect, the more acne appears. When cooking, choose the oven or the cook top stove to heat food instead of the microwave….your skin will thank you.

Here’s another thing to remember, a poor diet in general can also leave you with a raging acne battle. Most people consume fat too much sugar than necessary, along with far too much chocolate, sodium, fried foods, processed foods, caffeine, dairy products, seafood, carbonated beverages, or other iodine-rich foods. So it makes great sense that with a bit of dietary clean up that you will also be doing your skin a huge favor. You simply must make the decision to make overall healthier choices.

Of course these foods are all very addicting so in moderation you can still enjoy them without the negative effects of ferocious acne. When consumed in massive quantities, this is when problems begin to occur so be sure to watch out for those large portions. After a bad day, if you feel the need for a chocolate bar do not deprive yourself. As long as these small splurges are paired with a healthy diet, there is absolutely nothing wrong with an occasional treat so go ahead and indulge!

Of course with a healthy diet, you should also be sure to drink plenty of water. Your skin will be more hydrated and better able to rid itself of toxins if you drink at least eight to ten 8-ounce glasses of water a day. Be sure to sip the water throughout the day instead of just gulping it all down in short order so that your body can better utilize the water you take in.

So if you want to help your acne prone skin and go for the cleaner and more healthier look, then choose a healthier lifestyle and look for healthy foods that will benefit your skin. With a few better choices, your skin will be so much happier.
