There is no need for anyone out there to act like such a wimp whenever it comes to dealing with your mortgage company about being late on your monthly payments. Many times a foreclosure could be avoided but what happens is, the person who is in jeopardy of losing their home decides to just go into hiding somewhere, avoiding all phone calls, letters of foreclosure notices and everything else and believe you me, that is by far the worst mistake that anyone of you out there could ever make. This type of mistake could really end up costing you, big time!
As soon as you even suspect that you may have to be late making your monthly mortgage payment then you should contact your mortgage company and warn them about it. At least then they will know to expect your payment a few days later than usual.
They really do appreciate that type of responsible behavior and they will look at it as though you are at least making an attempt to let them know what is going on with you, therefore the threat of foreclosure is much less likely. Being a big old wimp is simply not the way to handle anyone who is trying to contact you, regarding your monthly mortgage payments or any other late bills for that matter. So, with that said, whenever you do receive a foreclosure notice in your mailbox, there is no reason for you to flip out, yes it is scary but flipping out is only going to create more stress on you that you do not want.
Talking to the mortgage company about your hard times will pay off much more than not talking to them at all. Stand up for yourself and let them know that you are doing everything in your power to remain on time each month with your monthly mortgage payments and unfortunately things have occurred that has put you behind just a little bit.
By explaining things to them calmly and not panicking you are showing them that you want to work with them rather than against them. If for example you are earning less at work because your hours have been cut back then tell them that. They will take note of the what you are saying and by getting them to understand how your circumstances have changed will make it much easier to come up with a repayment plan that will allow you to catch up.
If you are fortunate then hopefully you will never have to go through all this and deal with this sort of situation as it can be very stressful. Why not spend a little time searching to see what you can find on the internet to help you out with your current financial situation. You might even find somebody that you can contact to help get you back on the right track before it gets too late.
