How Chakra Balancing Can Help You Achieve Health and Happiness!

by Jonathan Benjem

Modern science has done its best to obliterate from the minds of people the existence and importance of spiritual being within the physical being.

Conversely, the Hindu idea of life has kept alive the practice of spiritual-healing despite the developments in science and technology.

Our body has seven primary Chakras and also many thousands of secondary ones. Chakra, is a Sanskrit word which means Wheel of Light, and these light wheels or Chakras, are in a stable state of rotation and vibration in a healthy body.

As a result, an imbalance in the vibration of these chakras results in a corresponding imbalance of the healthy functioning of the body. So, Chakra Balancing needs to be done to ensure a healthy body, mind, and soul.

Chakras are Entry Gates of the Aura and the centers of activity that receives, assimilates and expresses life-force energy. Located along the central line of the body from the base of the spine to the top of the head the seven main Chakras absorb and transmit energies to and from the universe, nature, celestial entities, and even from people.

What distorts Chakra Balancing?

If there is a blockage in one or more of the Chakras, the energy does not flow properly through them, and then ultimately the result will be an imbalance among the Chakras that result in problems in all areas of life.

There are many factors which can cause the distortion of the Chakras. This includes health issues, stress, inappropriate diet, exposure to poisons, lack of exercise, inability to express emotions, untrue beliefs, being unconnected from your higher power, childhood traumas, cultural conditioning, emotional problems etc.

Chakra Balancing Key to Health and Happiness

It is very much a utopian idea that the Chakras function completely harmoniously. And so, human effort has always been to try and correct this distortion and strike a fine balance between these Chakras. The idea of self-healing is loosely based on Chakra balancing.

Our body shape, glandular procedures, constant physical ailments, thoughts, and behavior can easily be control by the Chakras. Chakra balancing ensures that these limitations are working to achieve a healthy body, mind, and soul.

The advantages of Chakra Balancing are:

* General happiness and inner peace in body

* Physical health with individual strength

* Consciousness and being in touch with ones body

* Sexually comfortable life without getting partial by lust

* Alertness of personal feelings at the ethereal level

* Improved capacity to attract and express love in ones life

* Speedy spiritual growth and development

* Spiritual healing through higher patterns of consciousness, awareness, and acceptance

* A sympathetic and adoring heart

* Marvelous confidence levels, but short of being over-confident

* Approaching of the Self

Attaining chakra balancing

Chakra Balancing in ones body can be achieved by employing different techniques. Primarily, you can use one or more of the following techniques in order to harmonize the Chakra functioning in your body:

* Medicinal Therapies i.e. Reiki,

* Yoga (including breathing exercises) and Meditation

* Physical work out

* Light and Color treatment

* Crystals and Gems

* Harmonizing with Hands and Pendulums

* Aromatherapy

* Touch Therapy

* Positive Thinking

* Sound frequencies/vibrations

* Affirmations and Hypnosis sessions, etc.

Our body is a reservoir of energy, in which the spent energy is released and disposed of by the body organs, and replenished, with new supplies of energies.

Chakra balancing ensures that this energy is gained and utilized by the body optimally, and all vital organs and body cells get their fair share of this energy.

In this condition of optimization, inner peace, happiness and general feeling of well being occurs. Chakra Balancing is merely bringing the Chakras back to their normal state of vibration and frequency.

Healthy Life With Chakra Color Therapy

by Jonathan Benjem

It’s a traditional knowledge that human body contains a reservoir of energy deep within. The highly evolved souls propagate harnessing this energy in order to create the ideal living conditions in and around us. They abjure the idea of external help to restore normal body functioning. The theory that gained ground was Chakra balancing, i.e., synchronized movement of seven primary energy centers within the body, to improve all aspects of life (spiritual, emotional, and physical).

All the seven chakras have a color associated with them, which helps in synchronizing the movement of the respective Chakra. The use of colors in your efforts to strike a balance between their movements is referred to as Chakra Color Therapy.

Before discussing about the Chakra Color Therapy, a brief description of the primary chakras and their associated colors won’t be out of place:

1. The Root Chakra, or Muladhara, is located at the base of the spine. This chakra is associated with our basic survival needs, vitality, and courage. The associated color is Red, which is known for its qualities of vitality, and provides energy on all levels.

2. The Naval Chakra (or Svadhisthana), situated at the center of abdomen, is associated with emotions and sexuality. Orange is the color associated with this chakra, which empowers the body with self-confidence, feelings of success, and independence of thought.

3. The Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura) is situated in the stomach region. This third chakra is associated with lending power, will and identity to the individual. The color associated with this chakra is Yellow. The attributes of Yellow color for the body include thought clarity and self-worthiness.

4. The Heart Chakra, or Anahata, is located in the center of the chest. This chakra is associated with love, compassion, and self-expression. The associated color is Green, which is known for its qualities of intimacy and forgiveness.

5. The Throat Chakra (or Vishuddha), situated at the base of the throat, is associated with communication, creativity, and resonance. Blue is the color associated with this chakra, which empowers the body with the sense of self-identification and clarity in communication.

6. The Brow Chakra (or Ajna), situated between the brows on the forehead, is associated with perception, intuition, and imagination. Indigo is the color associated with this chakra, which empowers the body with qualities, like visualization, understanding, and clear vision.

7. The Crown Chakra (or Sahasrara), situated on top of the head, is associated with consciousness, knowledge, and wisdom. Violet is the color associated with this chakra, which empowers the body with a sense of spiritual awareness and self-awareness.

The color associated with each Chakra can be used and incorporated in our lives to balance the dysfunctioning chakras. Chakra Color therapy can be used only after identifying the damaged chakras in the body, which are responsible for its abnormal functioning.

For the very first step, you can simply lie down, relax, and mull over all the events in the day in any order that is convenient to you. The experience of emotions related to each event will tell you the affected chakra. After identifying the problem chakra, it’s time for Color Breathing. It’s simple. Take all the seven colored cloth swatches besides you. Put the relevant colored cloth on the body part, which is represented by the affected chakra. Lie down, close your eyes, relax, take deep breaths, and simply visualize the absorption of the color by the affected body part for 5-10 minutes. Repeat this exercise if there are more affected chakras in the body.

Chakra Color Therapy is a healthy option for maintenance of chakra balance. For daily maintenance, just lie down and repeat the above process by placing the relevant colored swatches on the relevant body parts. 5-10 minutes should be sufficient to recharge your chakras and correct the imbalanced ones to give you a better life free of physical, emotional or spiritual ailment.

Chakra Energy Unleashed

by Jonathan Benjem

At the outset, let me share a secret that very few people in the world know (and if they know, they don’t acknowledge it!). All the human beings have a huge reservoir of energy, large enough to make sure that our physical and mental health always remains upbeat. This secret is a commonplace among large Hindu and Buddhist population in India and other parts of the world, for most Americans and Europeans, this is an invaluable piece of information, which they’d like to explore further.

This reservoir of energy is known as ‘Chakra Energy’. Chakras are the energy centers located in the upper half of the body. Though, there are thousands of Chakras in the entire human body, but primarily, there are just seven Chakras that dominate the overall health of the body. These are:

* Root or the Base Chakra (RED) located at the base of the spine, known as the coccyx.

* Spleen Chakra (ORANGE) located in the lower abdomen region, just below the navel.

* Solar Plexus Chakra (YELLOW) located in the stomach area.

* Heart Chakra (GREEN) situated in the center of the chest.

* Throat Chakra (BLUE) situated in the throat region.

* Brow Chakra (INDIGO) situated on the forehead.

* Crown Chakra (VIOLET) situated on top of the head.

Though invisible, these Chakras constantly and continuously rotate in the bodies at their stated positions. This movement is responsible for the production of energy, called Chakra Energy.

The movement of the Chakras has to be harmonious in order to produce the desired effect. Naturally, the movement of Chakra is in sync, but imbalance can occur due to several physical or emotional pressures. The remedy is simply to work towards the achievement of Chakra Balance through physical and metaphysical means.

So, what’s there to know about Chakra Energy? The entire Chakra System of the body is based on the spiritual side of our existence. It’s more a matter of feeling than sensing. You can say that Chakra System is a part of the sixth sense in your body. The energy produced by the Chakra System is responsible for blessing you with a healthy life or cursing you with an unhealthy one.

If the movement is in sync, the Chakras will produce sufficient energy to ensure physical and mental well being. However, if the movement is not in sync, the energy so produced will not be sufficient and it’ll invariably result in some body ailment.

Undoubtedly, Chakra Energy plays a decisive role in human lives, but is it possible to work around the Chakras and bring about a balance in their movements? Though Chakra movement is a natural phenomenon, yet you can direct your physical and spiritual energies towards attainment of Chakra balancing. Learning is an art and invariably, a slow process. But if your have determination and perseverance, it’s an achievable goal. The exercise is pretty simple. Firstly, just sit or lie down in the most comfortable posture with eyes closed. The next part is to relax and feel all the body parts from visible organs to the minutest cell within the body. Don’t avoid the distractions, like myriad thoughts. With time, they’ll disappear. Keep it going for about half-an-hour to any length of time for as many days as you can. You’ll surely feel the difference.

This may trigger a natural question, i.e., why this simple fact is largely unknown to the modern humans? The answer lies in the over-dependence on science and technology for even the basic human needs. Earth is sufficient to provide us with all the supplies needed for a healthy and peaceful existence. But the modern man has divided the control over the Earth’s blessings, resulting in constant struggle and over-dependence science to augment the supplies of even the basic necessities. Moreover, the thrust on technologically advanced gadgets has meant increasing drift from the spiritual aspect of life.

The best part of Chakra Energy is that it is always within your control. You just need a firm determination to balance the Chakra movements and in the process, ensure a healthy and contented existence, both in the physical as well as spiritual realm.

by Jonathan Benjem

Meditation is considered as a powerful form of self-realization and self-healing. There are various methods by which you can meditate, but perhaps, the most potent of all is the Chakra Meditation.

Introduction to Chakra Meditation

Quite simply, Chakra Meditation refers to the process of balancing and energizing all the 7 energy centers (Chakras) in order to align the flow of energy through them. These 7 energy centers, or the Chakras, are:

1. Root Chakra governing your general health, prosperity and well being is located at the base of the spine and related to the element ‘Earth’.

2. Orange Chakra governing your emotions and sexuality is located at the center of abdomen and related to the element ‘Water’.

3. Solar Plexus governing your metabolism, autonomy and conviction is located just above the naval region and related to the element ‘Fire’.

4. Heart Chakra located at the center of the chest and related to the element ‘Air’. It governs love, compassion, and relationships in our lives.

5. Power Chakra, also called the Solar Plexus, is situated just above the naval region. It is related to the ‘Fire’ element, which governs our will power, metabolism, and autonomy.

6. Orange Chakra, also called the Naval or Sacral Chakra, is situated at the center of abdomen. It is related to the ‘Water’ element, which governs our sexuality and emotions.

7. Crown Chakra governing your wisdom and knowledge is located at the top of the head and related to the element ‘thought’.

A concentrated mind working towards the achievement of synchronized movements of these seven Chakras in the body can truly bring incalculable rewards in one’s life. The body, mind, and soul would become stress-free and you’ll emerge as a better-informed human being who can easily see the spiritual side to every materialistic possession in this world. One can also achieve natural healing for bodily and mental ailments just by bringing the seven energy centers in consonance with each other.

Chakra Meditation - The Process

Chakra Meditation is the sum total of the following three techniques:

1. Grounding Technique, which aims at making the body feel connected with Earth. You just need to visualize a root growing from your body and entering into the Earth. This requires intense focus and mental presence during the act of visualization.

2. Centering Technique refers to the process whereby, your body gets prepared to receive the benefits of Chakra Meditation. The actual step involves taking 3-5 deep breaths. And visualization involves the assumption of feeling of relaxation of every body part from toe to head by tightening and relaxing each body part starting from toe, and moving in the northwards direction, till the head. The final act is the visualization of the act of centering a pot on a pottery wheel.

3. Relaxation Technique refers to the process whereby, the body feels relaxed by an act of visualization that suits an individual the best. Every individual is free to adopt his or her own relaxation method.

One of the popular methods of Chakra Meditation is detailed below:

a) Sit or lie down in a comfortable position.

b) Every stress-causing factor should be addressed and effort should be made to reduce or eliminate the stress as far as possible. Start with loosening the clothing you are wearing. Identify other similar straining factors and eliminate them. And finally, close your eyes.

c) Breathe in a relaxed manner, which should be neither too fast nor too slow. The idea is to give up the control on your breath, and let it flow naturally, but healthily.

d) Start feeling every part of your body from toe to the head in that direction. While your eyes are closed, feel the earth you are lying or sitting on, or the bed you are lying or sitting on, feel the aura around you, feel the clothes you are wearing. Feel everything you’d have had your eyes been open. Visualize life in darkness!

e) Initially, your efforts will be met with stiff resistance from negative thoughts and emotions. Don’t suppress them! They’ll disappear with time and practice.

f) Don’t hinder your awareness! Let it flow freely from one part of the body to another.

Chakra Meditation can be performed by anyone at convenient hours. There is no rule for the duration of time to perform Chakra Meditation. Suit your comfort levels!
