The Music of the Instrumental Acoustic Guitar

by Joe Martin

The popularity of acoustic guitars over electric is largely due to the mystique and romance associated with them. The soft strumming of an instrumental acoustic guitar can cause people to stop what they are doing and just listen to the beautiful music. But, the instrumental acoustic guitar is not just for mellow music. For instance, it brings fiery passion to flamenco music. Though people do not often think or talk about the versatility of an acoustic guitar, nearly everyone appreciates the beautiful sounds it is capable of producing.

Is playing a guitar a skill that you always wanted to take up? You could just look at a guitar on the rack and imagine the wonderful melody of notes as you strum across the strings. You question how difficult it actually would be the play guitar and how much money you will have to spend to learn how to play.

As you continue your dream of playing, you imagine how your family and friends will be in shock when your bring out your instrumental acoustic guitar and show off your new talent. You dream of having the ability to play like your favorite musician but then shake your head and back on the rack the guitar goes.

Instrumental acoustic guitars may seem magical, but, of course there isn’t really any magic in the instruments themselves. It’s their music that enchants you. It’s just like when you learned to write during childhood. After a while you mastered it and finally you could take on all sorts of writing assignments. The pencil was the implement to express the thoughts, but you were the one who put it to use. It’s like that with an acoustic guitar too. It’s the implement you use to make music. And you learn to play a guitar in much the same way you learned to write all those years ago. First you just play around with it, like a kind of doodling. You did drills to practice. Eventually the feeling for it in your fingers just takes over. Soon the music is flowing right through your fingers and into the guitar.

An instrumental acoustic guitar has a kind of draw to it, but people who have never played guitar before are often amazed by them. It is often assumed that there is much more to the instrument than there actually is. The ability to produce music is almost mystical to some.

Music is such a intense expression of sound and emotion that it can be overwhelming to think that anyone could produce such beautiful sounds. This outlook can make people apprehensive with learning to play an acoustic guitar. Remember, the acoustic guitar was built to speak this language.

If you really want to play and find yourself checking out each instrumental acoustic guitar in the local music stores or even if there’s a forgotten one sitting in your attic, pick it up and learn how to play it. You won’t be sorry you did.

Kidney Disease in Dogs

by Geraldine Dimarco

A serious and common disease affecting a number of dogs is kidney disease. In older dogs it is probably one of the leading causes of death. Acute or chronic are the two forms that this disease can take. While the acute form happens very suddenly the chronic form starts slowly and gets worse with time. For the owner getting the news of either one is an upsetting thing.

Kidneys are an important organ for the body - human or canine. They are responsible for ridding the body of toxins by filtration. Kidney disease causes the kidneys to function at only about thirty percent of their capacity. If the kidneys stop working, the toxins accumulate in the blood and get deposited in other organs. Subsequently, the dog dies.

The ability of a dog’s body to properly function is stopped by kidney failure. A number of symptoms and warning signs will likely become obvious when the toxins begin to build up in their bodies. The acute time form usually appears more quickly even though both these chronic diseases show different symptoms. Dogs that suffer with this form of kidney disease can become dehydrated. Gently pull the skin on your dog’s stomach to test them for hydration. The skin should spring back. There is a real possibility that your dog is dehydrated if it does not.

You may have noticed your dog not wanting to pass urine or no urine production at all. This is also is a warning sign that your pet may be a victim of acute kidney disease. This disease can lead to your dog having extremely painful kidneys; or you may notice the animal moving with stiff legs or an arched back. These symptoms are signs for any dog owner to watch out for.

There are different symptoms shown with chronic kidney disease. Where they would usually gulp food they may begin to show signs of a decrease in appetite so drastic they do not want to eat. They could even stop eating all together. Weight loss will occur in time. An increase in thirst and the amount of water they drink will increase which is one of the first warning signs that the disease has begun. This signs are common with the condition. There may be an increase in the frequency of urination as the dog can lose bladder control. In some cases urination can become painful and often impossible with blood showing up in the urine. Any signs of urine symptoms, vomiting, lethargic or depressed in your pet should be treated as a warning sign and you should call your vet immediately since canine kidney disease is serious and can be deadly. It could be possible to get control over the disease if it is caught soon enough.

If the veterinarian suspects kidney disease he will usually follow four steps to decide if the dog has the disease or not. A thorough physical examination is what he will normally do first. The dogs relevant history will be gone over with the owner next, things such as their home behavior and symptoms. A blood test and urinary test are the two steps he will take after the first two steps are done. Both tests have to be done to make sure of a correct diagnosis. Whether or not your dog has acute or chronic kidney disease will be confirmed by both of these tests.

Affordable Car Insurance For The First Time Buyer

by Amy Nutt

You’ve just bought your first new car and now you need to get car insurance for that vehicle. You?re not sure what to do and you want to make sure you get the most affordable rate. You don?t want your lack of knowledge to cause you to have to pay more for your car insurance than what you have to; especially since you need to put very expensive fuel in that car to keep it running.

Fortunately, lack of knowledge doesn’t have to get in your way. There are some basic things you should know about buying car insurance for the first time. They are not difficult and you?ll find that the difference between knowing these things and not knowing these things means more money you can keep in your pocket or use to put fuel in your car. It doesn’t matter how you choose to use that money. What matters is that you?re not unnecessarily paying it on a car insurance premium.

How much you need

Chances are you have financed this car and the lender requires you to have full coverage insurance. This covers everything from bodily injury to collision in case you are in an auto accident with that car. Although the lender requires full coverage, you can have different degrees of coverage based on what you can afford.

For example:

- You can choose to go with a policy that has a $500 deductible. What this means is that this is the amount you have to pay to repair your car in case you are in a collision with someone or some thing. If the bill to fix the car is $3,000. The insurance will pay the remaining $2,500 after you have paid your $500 deductible.

That seems easy enough, doesn’t it? It is pretty simple. However, it is important for you to determine how much you can afford in regards to your deductible. You can actually save money on your premium each month if you can afford a higher deductible in case of an accident. The higher the deductible, the cheaper the premium, but you don?t want to go beyond what you can afford.

How to save

Once you’ve determined how much you need, this is the point in which you can work on saving money. You need to first comparison shop by checking with the different providers to see what types of premiums they have for the amount of coverage you need. You also need to ask them what is covered under the insurance, what the limitations are, when the coverage begins and ends, how much coverage you get, and how you file a claim.

Once you find good prospects, you can then ask them what types of car insurance discounts they offer. If you are a college student, they may offer a discount. They may even offer an additional discount for good grades. You can also do such things as open a life insurance policy with them to get a multi-line discount.

If you’re ever in doubt, contact your state?s department of insurance and ask them tips regarding how you can save on car insurance. They will gladly give you that information. You may even want to talk with the insurance providers regarding a discount if you allow them to automatically deduct your premium from your bank account each month. You have many different areas to compare and many discounts and policy alterations that can work to your advantage. Use them and see how much money you can save. You may actually be surprised how much money you can have in your pocket versus how much could possibly go into your insurance premium.

Event Catering Ideas For Self Catered Events

by Lee Dobbins

Putting on a large event can be taxing and difficult for even a well-prepared person which is why good catering ideas are always appreciated. If youre in charge of doing the catering you have the extra demands of determining what food to purchase and in what amounts. You are also in charge of making the food. Even if you are using a caterer for your event you still must keep everything synchronized and make many decisions that will cause you to feel stressed out.

Organization is key to any project but particularly when planning a party or event. Always consider your guest list first so you can plan appropriate space for the group. Choose your menu based on the specifics of the event. The style of the event will dictate the menu in many cases. For example, a sit down meal would be more appropriate for a wedding but a casual barbeque may be just as successful for a graduation or anniversary party.

Parties require many details: plates, utensils, glasses, serving dishes, linens, and so on. Hot food will need warming plates, candles need candle sticks. You even need to decide if you buy silk flowers or order centerpieces. A professional caterer will provide the linens, dishes and serving ware and may also be able to provide decorations as well as come up with some good catering ideas for how to decorate and setup. If you’re putting everything together yourself, a trip to a party supply store is a must.

The planning has to be done many months in advance irrespective of the fact whether you are doing it yourself or hiring catering services. The more popular catering services have to be booked as early as an year in advance so you have to be sure of the dates well before time. Even if you do it yourself you will have to take help of some people for serving either professionals or relatives.

To successfully execute your catered event, be sure to have a detailed timeline developed early so you won’t miss steps on the busy day. Start about 30 days out and work from there…sending out invitations, plan the menu (and purchase the food that can be prepared ahead of time and frozen), plan decorations, etc. Your list will surely get longer as the event approaches, just stay organized and on top of it.

The most important thing for having a successful event lies in its planning, and these catering ideas should give you a good start. Arranging a big event brings a lot of stress but if you are organized and have done a detailed planning the event is bound to be a grand success.

The Global Resorts Network: Profile and Customer Feedbacks

by Alain Schuster

There are two (2) aspects to the Global Resorts Network (GRN): first is the product which is a discount luxury travel membership package and second is its affiliate program which features a Perpetual Leverage Compensation plan. This report covers both aspects.

One of the two types of membership in the GRN is a Platinum membership which cost US$2,995.00.

A Platinum membership is a lifetime membership, fully transferable and willable to one’s estate. There is also no yearly fee and the platinum member is entitled to unlimited vacations per year. The resort week costs from US$298-699 per week in 4 or 5 star resorts although in some places like Hawaii, the cost may go up to $799/week. Guest weeks are also available, allowing members to offer stays for family and friends.

The Gold membership costs less at US$1,495.

The membership cost cover 3 years, during which the member has 3 resort weeks per year that should not exceed 21 days. The weeks can be consecutive and in the same resort and the cost per resort week start at US$398 in 4 or 5 star resorts. No guest week is allowed under the gold membership.

It is actually Gold Crown Resorts which handles the membership. What the company does is purchase excess inventory from timeshares and resorts all over the world.

Advantages Over Time Share:

- GRN member doesn’t pay a maintenance fee while timeshare requires an annual maintenance fee

- unlimited number of vacations per year as a GRN platinum member; with timeshare, usually only 1 vacation/year

- GRN membership cost generally is less than timeshare’s initial purchase cost

- between the annual maintenance fee in timeshare and the cost per resort week in a GRN membership, the latter is generally lesser

Downside to GRN:

- a member has to be flexible when it comes to travel schedules due to fluctuations in resort vacancies; you just cannot leave for a specific resort at a specific time and date that you want; while customer service will do all they can to accomodate your preferred schedule and resort, there is no guarantee of a reservation.

- a member cannot cancel his/her reservation; one of the ways GRN can provide accommodations well below the standard rates is because they receive specific non-cancellable dates when a request is made.

- the available inventory decreases with the increase in the number of members; while GRN used to be sold solely through a personal presentation, it is now being sold through network marketing online and the number of members has increased since then.

The Affiliate Program:

This is what makes the affiliate program so enticing to many. This is how it works:

First Sale: You don’t earn anything yet on your first sale as this is passed up to your sponsor or upline to activate your first level

2nd Sale and thereafter: You receive US$1000 on each sale (if you sold a platinum membership) or US$500 (if you sold a gold membership). Your upline receives the same amount on each one of your sales as well

Sales of Your Affiliates: Each time your affiliate makes a sale, you also earn US$1000 or US$500 depending on what type of membership was sold.

Let’s say, you have 5 affiliates which sell 2 platinum membership per month, you earn US$10,000 monthly.

The Marketing System:

While the Global Resort Network has its own website, there are other marketing systems offered by third parties. Although they vary in cost, all of them offers a marketing site/landing page, information pages, contact or list management and autoresponders. Some also offers additional features like a virtual assistant. Among them are:

GRN System (by Priceless Possibilities) US$29.95/ month, Ty Coughlin’s Reverse Funnel System US$299.00/month, GRN Biz Builder (run by QuickLister) US$34.95/month, GRN Team Buidler (run by B.O. S. S.) US$79.95/month, Global Pro Builder US$39.95 - 69.95/month plus set up

All these different systems have back offices to help you get started as soon as possible.

Feedback from Customers:

“Global Resorts Network is also the first & only company I have ever seen were there truly is a product in place that is in demand & of real value unlike the majority of the 2 & 3 step money games with products that have no value. Meaning you can actually go out & sell this product / membership aside from the opportunity….” Source: http://www.work-at-home-forum.com/14_2845_0.html

“Well, I did everything step by step and used their exact key words and phrases for advertising. I utilized everything they suggested. $15,000.00 later still no sales! …” Source: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/318/RipOff0318260.htm

“Global Resorts Network is for real…and a great deal. Where else can you get a lifetime membership for less than $3000 one time…no recurring fees, no exchange fees, no maintanance fees, and can book weeks at 4-5 star luxury condos for under $300 to $700 as many times as you want. The company that provides the condos has been doing this for 20 years very successfully. I’m a member and think it’s a fantastic value….” Source: http://www.tugbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40329

“I do not have a problem with Network Marketing, and I am not calling this a scam. However, I do have a problem with reverse funnel system, and Ty Coughlin’s screaming loud recordings on my answering machine …” Source: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/308/RipOff0308997.htm

The Verdict:

With the cost of a resort week in a 5 or 4 star resort way below standard rates, a GRN membership is a great product. However, one needs a certain flexibility as far as travel schedules are concerned due to fluctuations in resort vacancies.

The membership fee can be recovered easily from the savings you earn from heavily discounted rates. So even if you just become a member and not become an affiliate, you will eventually recover the cost you paid for your membership fee.

If you like to become an affiliate, please take note that while there are third party marketing systems to help you, you still need to acquire long-term skills on affiliate marketing. Most of these systems focus on step by step guide. To acquire long-term skills is not to have you follow instructions like a robot. The world of internet marketing is always in a state of change, trends emerge and disappear and if you haven’t acquired long-term skills, your ability to make money online is only temporary or close to zero. You need to understand, acquire skills and practically implement techniques and at the same time see the whole picture and the why of all the actions you are taking.

The GRN affiliate program is not a get-rich-quick scheme. You have to be prepared to learn, spend for monthly fees and other marketing-related expenses such as advertising which can be costly.

The Hoover Self Propelled Carpet Cleaners for Allergy Sufferers

by James Boehringer

When people have allergies or asthma they have to remove what is bothering their system immediately. Pet dander, dust mites and pollen are a few examples of what the HEPA filtration system in carpet cleaners can remove especially if the carpet cleaners are of high quality. The Hoover Wind Tunnel Ultra is able to keep everything really clean any time of the day or night.

With so many features the upright Wind Tunnel is considered to be effortless. The major benefit of the vacuum cleaner is that it is self-propelled so its larger size is not a hassle. It navigates its way on the floor while picking up all the dust and debris.

So that you do not do a rush vacuum job the Hoover Wind Tunnel has an embedded dirt finder and reminds you when to slow down in heavier traffic areas. This is a super feature especially for those people who think the area is clean after doing a quick vacuum.

As with other vacuum cleaners, the Wind Tunnel Ultra has attachments as an added feature. When using any of the attachments you must lock down the handle on the vacuum so that it looks like it is in the upright position. Then the brushes on the dual agitator are run completely off.

The attachment hose that is included is high quality and very flexible, not to mention the fact that it doesn’t require that you do anything to connect those hose in order for the vacuum to be used. All you need to do is plug in the vacuum and then just start using it. There are several attachments that you are able to use - they include the two extension wands, upholstery nozzle, crevice tool, dusting brush and a rotating brush.

The Hoover Wind Tunnel that is self propelled works superb on carpets and hard floors. The vacuum has a setting for hard wood floors which will turn all of the agitator brushes off so that they don’t blow any dirt back at you while you are vacuuming.

This vacuum also offers a lot of power when it comes to hard wood floors because it will pick up just about anything. Vacuuming carpets and rugs can be done in just a snap.

Cleaning is easy with this vacuum because of the high level of power and the embedded dirt finder the vacuum has. With an edge cleaner that is built in, you surely have a really nice carpet cleaner.

Coral Calcium - Japan Sourced Products Are Best

by Lee Dobbins

More health products are relying on natural elements for their ingredients such as coral calcium. A vital part of this product comes from the calcium carbonate of coral reefs that are off the southern coast of Japan. Calcium carbonate are the main mineral in these sea reefs and acts as a glue to keep the reefs intact which is why when buying coral calcium, Japan based sources are the best.

Coral reefs don’t just happen but are the result of a complicated set of biological factors. For instance, warmth is important to the formation of a reef. The ocean water usually needs to be between 20 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees Celsius. Reefs are like a small community of different organisms and that community needs sunlight to grow, especially reefs that have coral calcium. Another important factor in keeping the community thriving is a healthy amount of algae. Algae is like the essential building block in the foundation of a reef-it provides food for the other organisms.

In fact, the coral calcium Japan is famous for comes from a complex ecosystem. The reefs are teeming with life that represent a complicated food chain. The algae and plant life provide food for the herbivorous fish who in turn produce the waste that builds more sections of the reef that the algae grows on.

The living corals that form the giant reefs, are part of a group of marine animals that include hydroids, jellyfish and sea anemones called Cnidaria. Usually symmetrical, with one opening to the digestive tract, coral has a stinger that protects the coral polyp with its venom. Stony coral secretes an outer covering called an exoskeleton which protects the soft structures of the coral polyps.

Coral reefs house many species of life, some nocturnal and some daytime. Coral reefs are the home of various kinds of fungi, worms, sponges, and fish.

When it comes to coral calcium, Japan sourced products are best as they contain minerals essential for human life. Fossilized coral reefs may, depending on the quality, also contain trace minerals helpful to the human body which is why this supplement is so highly touted as an alternative health product.

Important Woodworking Tools Which You Need

by Clinton Maxwell

When you are setting up a woodworking workshop you will find that there are many different types of saws available. You will need more than one saw, but how do you know which ones you will need? Miter saws and table saws are very useful and commonly the first type of saw that an amateur woodworker will buy. It?s important to know what you should look for when choosing saws so that you can be sure you?re getting one which matches your requirements. You can get advice about these tools from many experts at woodworking shows and home improvement stores.

Guide to Choosing Saws

Table saws are very important parts of any workshop, this is typically the very first power tool which people choose to purchase. These saws are commonly 240 or 120 volts. A 120 volt saw will run on a normal circuit, if you have a 240 volt saw then you will need a dedicated line to run this. Most home workshops only really need to use 120V as this provides enough power. If you?re a professional then you might consider using a 240V saw.

Things you need to consider: - The power of the motor - Does the saw tilt, if so in which directions - Dust collector ? These saws generate lots of dust so it?s a good idea to stick to a model which clears up the mess - Accuracy ? Choose one that has adjustable guide fences

A quality miter saw will allows you to make very accurate cuts which will improve the look of the finished project. You can buy miter saws mounted onto a stand, or on the ground. Woodworking Jigs

Woodworking jigs are a fantastic way of speeding up and making complex projects easier. These will also save time on repetitive tasks. If you need to create a number of pieces the same then jigs are a very good idea. When using a jig everything should be identical.
